Tuesday 23rd |
We begin our holiday with a ferry crossing to Calais, before continuing south into the picturesque French countryside. Sit back and relax as we travel through charming rural landscapes en route to historic Reims, the capital of the Champagne region. On arrival, there will be time to settle into the hotel and perhaps enjoy an evening stroll or sample the atmosphere of this elegant city. This evening, we enjoy a included dinner at the hotel. |
Wednesday 24th |
After breakfast, we continue our scenic journey through France, travelling past vineyards, rolling hills, and traditional villages as we head towards Lyon. Known as France’s gastronomic capital, Lyon is beautifully situated between the Rhône and Saône rivers. After checking in, there is time to relax or explore before we come together for an included dinner at the hotel. |
Thursday 25th |
Today we make our way south to the glamorous Côte d’Azur. Travelling through ever-changing landscapes, we reach the Mediterranean coast and the stylish resort of Cannes. We check in to the 4-star Pullman Cannes Mandelieu, our base for the next four nights. This evening, unwind and enjoy a three-course dinner at the hotel, marking the start of your stay on the Riviera. |
Friday 26th |
Enjoy a full day at leisure to experience Cannes at your own pace. Stroll along the famous Boulevard de la Croisette, relax on the beach, browse the boutiques, or explore the charming old quarter of Le Suquet with its panoramic views. After a day at leisure, return to the hotel for a included dinner. |
Saturday 27th |
This morning we visit nearby Nice during its vibrant and world-famous Carnival. Enjoy time at leisure to soak up the lively atmosphere, with street performances, music, and colourful displays. In the afternoon, take your reserved grandstand seat for the spectacular Flower Parade, featuring beautifully decorated floats covered in fresh blooms. After an unforgettable day, we return to Cannes for a included dinner at the hotel. |
Sunday 28th |
Today we travel to the charming town of Menton, close to the Italian border, for the famous Lemon Festival. Marvel at the incredible citrus sculptures and vibrant parade displays from our included grandstand seating. There will also be time to explore Menton’s attractive seafront and old town before returning to Cannes for a included dinner at the hotel. |
Monday 1st |
After breakfast, we journey through France to Lyon, for an overnight stop with an included dinner. |
Tuesday 2nd |
After breakfast, we drive to Reims for our final overnight stop. |
Wednesday 3rd |
Time for the journey home, we take the ferry from Calais to Dover, taking our memories from our holiday with us. |
