We travel north to the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne, arriving at the riverside Copthorne Hotel, ideally located on the historic Quayside. The remainder of the day is free to relax or enjoy a first stroll along the River Tyne. |
Saturday |
This morning we enjoy a guided coach tour of Newcastle with a knowledgeable Blue Badge Guide, bringing the city's rich history, architecture and culture to life. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure - perhaps visit one of the many museums, enjoy shopping, or take in views from one of the city's famous bridges. |
Sunday |
This morning we step straight outside our hotel to enjoy the lively Sunday Quayside Market, one of the city's most popular attractions, offering local food, crafts and street entertainment. The rest of the day is free to continue exploring Newcastle and nearby Gateshead at your own pace. |
Monday |
After breakfast, we begin our journey home, making a photo stop at the Angel of the North, one of England's most iconic landmarks, before continuing southwards to the Midlands. |
