Visit the charming seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Often described as "the town that time forgot," Southwold offers fresh sea air, colourful beach huts, an award winning pier, a working lighthouse, and the famous Water Clock. |
Tuesday |
This morning we explore Sutton Hoo, one of Britain's most important archaeological sites. Discover the Royal Burial Ground and admire the full size Anglo Saxon ship sculpture. Later, continue to Aldeburgh. |
Wednesday |
Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Dedham Vale and Stour Valley, arriving in East Bergholt, birthplace of John Constable. Continue to Beth Chatto Gardens, an inspiring naturalistic garden transformed from challenging terrain. |
Thursday |
After breakfast, visit Lavenham, England's best preserved medieval village. Enjoy time to explore before travelling home after lunch. |
