10 Things to Pack for Your Christmas Getaway 🎄🚌

There’s something rather special about travelling. Whether it’s discovering somewhere you’ve never been before, returning to a favourite destination or simply taking a well-earned break from the usual routine, travel gives us the chance to experience something new and create memories along the way.
That’s what World Tourism Day is all about, celebrating the importance of travel and tourism, and the people, places and experiences that make every journey worthwhile. And as Christmas approaches, we’re looking forward to another festive travel season.
If you’re joining us for a Christmas getaway, there’s one important thing to think about before you set off: What’s going in your bag? We’ve put together our ultimate Coachmas packing list to help you get ready for your festive adventure.
1. Your headphones
Whether you’re listening to your favourite Christmas playlist, catching up on a podcast or watching something during the journey, headphones are a coach travel essential. And, of course, we fully support a little Last Christmas on the way to your festive getaway!
2. A good book
One of the joys of travelling by coach is having time to simply sit back and relax. No need to concentrate on the road, navigate unfamiliar routes or worry about parking. You can settle into your seat, watch the scenery go by and enjoy some uninterrupted reading time. So why not pack that book you’ve been meaning to start?
3. Something cosy
Winter travel calls for something warm and comfortable. A cosy scarf, cardigan or jumper is always worth having in your bag, and if it happens to be a festive Christmas jumper, even better! After all, getting into the Christmas spirit can start before you even reach your destination.
4. Your favourite drink
A reusable water bottle is always useful when travelling, while a travel mug can be a handy companion for those early morning starts. There’s something particularly enjoyable about settling into your seat with a warm drink and watching the winter scenery pass by.
5. A few snacks
Let’s be honest no coach journey is complete without a few snacks. Whether you’re a crisp lover, a chocolate fan or the person who somehow manages to pack enough food for the entire coach, having your favourites close by can make the journey even better.
6. A travel pillow
Heading away for a longer Christmas break? A travel pillow could become your new best friend. Get comfortable, settle back into your seat and enjoy a little downtime while we take care of the driving. You might even manage a festive nap before you arrive at your destination.
7. Your phone and charger
It sounds obvious, but we’ve all experienced that moment when the battery warning appears at exactly the wrong time. Your phone can be useful throughout your trip, from keeping in touch with family and friends to checking information about your destination and, of course, taking plenty of photographs. Don’t forget your charger; and a portable power bank can be a great addition too.
8. Your camera
One of the best things about tourism and travel is the memories you bring home. Whether it’s a spectacular Christmas market, a beautiful hotel, a festive meal or simply a funny moment with the people you’re travelling with, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture those memories. And if you capture a great photo, we’d love to see it!
9. Leave a little room for something special
