Johnsons Coaches expands Midlands Network with new Rugby and Coventry Depot

Princethorpe, near Rugby, UK – Johnsons Coaches, part of The Coach Travel Group, has announced the opening of a new operational depot in Princethorpe, strengthening its presence across the Midlands. 

The announcement follows the recent opening of the company’s Birmingham depot and brings Johnsons Coaches’ network to four operating locations: Henley-in-Arden, Kidderminster, Birmingham and Princethorpe. 

Ideally positioned to support services across Rugby, Coventry and the surrounding areas, the new depot will support existing operations and growing demand from education, corporate and private hire customers. 

The Princethorpe depot will grow in phases and will be supported by a dedicated team of drivers. Facilities include office space, staff welfare facilities and on-site parking for coaches and staff vehicles. 

A key focus of Johnsons’ expanding depot network is to reduce dead mileage and improve operational efficiency. By positioning vehicles and drivers closer to customers, Johnsons can reduce unnecessary vehicle movements, improve response times and make better use of its fleet across the Midlands. 

This is particularly important as costs continue to rise across the transport industry. Improving operational efficiency will help Johnsons manage these pressures and support customers with competitive rates, while maintaining the reliable, high-quality service they expect.
