We travel south, making a suitable stop for lunch en-route, arriving at our hotel during the early afternoon. Welcome drink of mulled wine & mince pies upon arrival. Settle into your room before a Bucks Fizz reception, followed by a lovely 3-course dinner. |
Monday |
oday we visit the Beaulieu Estate. Set within the heart of the New Forest National Park. Beaulieu is an award-winning attraction. The National Motor Museum tells the story of motoring on our roads and racetracks. Experience the Victorian splendour of Palace House as costumed guides give you a flavour of life `below stairs`. Stroll through the grounds & gardens and explore the tranquil ruins of Beaulieu Abbey, which houses an exhibition on the monks that once lived and worked here. Ride the Monorail for sweeping views of the park, and uncover the covert role played by Beaulieu during World War Two in the Secret Army Exhibition. |
Tuesday |
A day at leisure to relax and enjoy Bournemouth. Choose to join an optional walking talk of Bournemouth organised by the hotel. Enjoy Christmas Cake and tea in the Drawing room between 12.30 and 2.30pm. |
Wednesday |
After breakfast we visit Medieval Salisbury -with its timbered and tile hung houses, cloisters and alleys. Visit the famous Gothic Cathedral featuring the tallest Church Spire in England and an original copy of the Magna Carta dating back to 1215AD.Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Cocktail Party before Dinner with Live piano Music with Christmas carols in the Restaurant. |

We commence our homeward journey, stopping en-route for lunch before returning to the Midlands. |
