Monday |
We travel north to south west Scotland, arriving at our hotel in the Stranraer area late afternoon. Time to settle in before dinner this evening. |
Tuesday |
This morning we visit Portpatrick, a charming harbour town famed for its colourful houses and coastal views towards Ireland. Later, we explore the beautiful Castle Kennedy Gardens, a spectacular loch side garden paradise. Returning to Stranraer, enjoy free time before dinner. |
Wednesday |
We travel along the scenic coast to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, celebrating the life and legacy of Scotland's national poet. This afternoon we visit impressive Culzean Castle & Country Park, set dramatically atop coastal cliffs, with gardens, parkland and historic interiors to explore. |
Thursday |
Heading east, we stop in Gatehouse of Fleet with time to visit the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre. We then enjoy Threave Garden & House, a beautifully landscaped haven for wildlife, before continuing to Kirkcudbright, the picturesque artists' town, for an afternoon break. |
Friday |
After breakfast, we depart for home, taking with us wonderful memories of Scotland's scenic south west. |
