    Monday

Depart from Henley we travel to Norfolk, arriving during the afternoon at the popular Dunston Hall Hotel for our 4-night stay.

    Tuesday

After a leisurely breakfast, we journey into Norwich - the capital of England's Norfolk County. A key landmark of the city is the medieval Cathedral - a Romanesque building with ornate cloisters. Two imposing gates, St. Ethelbert's and Erpingham, lead to the Tombland area, once a Saxon marketplace. A visit to the cathedral is a must along with cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall shopping complex.

    Wednesday

The day out begins with a drive to Newmarket - home of horseracing. Here we visit the National Horse Racing Museum and learn all about the history of 'The Sport of Kings' and perhaps visit the Packard Galleries of Sporting Art. From here we visit Bury St Edmunds with its famous Abbey Gardens, connections with Dickens and The Nutshell, reputedly the smallest pub in the country. Today is the town's market day so you have free time to browse the market and explore at your own pace.

    Thursday

Today, we take a tour of the local beach towns brimming with period architecture, rich culture, and maritime heritage. Our first stop is Wells-next-the-Sea, a port town situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We continue to Sheringham. This seaside town has a strong fishing history on the Deep History Coast. Our final stop is Cromer, a vibrant Norfolk town with a traditional pier.

    Friday

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
