This boutique style, 4 star hotel is family-run and situated overlooking the beach and promenade of this coastal town in Tuscany. The hotel is located just a short walk from the town centre and offers a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. The hotel underwent a full refurbishment of all areas in 2021, and offers stylish bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, as well as a lounge area.

Day One: Arrival |
After enjoying our convenient Door to Door Service, we depart Henley and make our way to Dover for the short ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue through France to the Novotel Saint-Avold, where we enjoy our first overnight stop. |
Day Two |
This morning we continue our journey south, travelling through Switzerland and on into northern Italy. Our overnight stay is in the Como area at the Ibis Hotel Como, a comfortable stop before we continue towards the Tuscan coast. |
Day Three |
Leaving Como, we travel past Milan and Parma as the scenery changes towards Tuscany. Later today we arrive in Viareggio, our delightful seaside base for the next five nights at the Hotel President. |
Day Four |
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Viareggio, a stylish resort known for its long promenade, sandy beach and elegant Art Nouveau architecture. You may like to browse the shops, relax by the seafront or visit one of the town's museums, including those dedicated to the famous Carnival and Puccini. |
Day Five |
Today we visit nearby Pisa, where there will be time to see the world-famous Leaning Tower and the beautiful buildings of the Piazza dei Miracoli (A shuttle bus will be used from the coach park to the Square of Miracles). We continue to the walled city of Lucca, birthplace of Puccini, before rounding off the day with a visit to a local vineyard for a tour and tasting. |
Day Six |
A scenic day awaits as we explore the beautiful Ligurian coast. Our route includes fashionable Forte dei Marmi, historic Sarzana and the picturesque medieval village of Porto Venere, set beside the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Poets. |
Day Seven |
We head into the Tuscan countryside today for a visit to San Gimignano, instantly recognisable for its striking medieval towers and atmospheric streets. We then continue to Volterra, one of Tuscany's finest preserved hilltop towns, with time to enjoy its historic centre and far-reaching views. |
Day Eight |
After breakfast we bid farewell to Viareggio and begin our journey north. We return to the Ibis Hotel Como for a comfortable overnight stop. |
Day Nine |
Continuing northwards, we travel back through Europe to France and arrive once again at the Novotel Saint-Avold for our final overnight stop. |
Day Ten |
We make our way to Calais for the short Channel crossing to Dover, before continuing home with wonderful memories of Tuscany and the Italian coast. |
